No -- No -- NO BLOODY HOLLY!
This was the first AR movie I saw in the theater. I practically begged my parents to take me to see this. Very embarrassing and awkward, considering the rating and the fact that I was the only 12-year-old in the room. Heh. Parents seemed to love the movie too. My dad was even humming "Christmas is All Around Me" for the rest of the week. ;D

BWAH!
Love Actually is the movie that started my Alan love.
Last year, around the time that PoA was released, my former manager at work was trying to break me of my Potter fandom (she obviously didn't do a good job of it). She was actually trying to get me hooked on Hugh Grant, so she lent me a whole bunch of movies, and Love Actually being one of them.
As I was watching it, I was all, "Mmmmmm... That voice. It's lovely. It... sounds familiar..."
The rest, as they say, is history... :-)

I really want to see this movie! I could have gone to the theater to see it by myself (I'm 17) but I don't have my license yet and my parents are still really protective and don't want me to watch R rated movies. (Like when I was 15, my parents didn't let me watch PG-13 movies, except for LOTR. It's maddening because my brother who is 14 is watching PG-13 movies and stuff on tv that was WAY worse than what I was allowed to watch. First borns do suffer. *sigh* ) Anyway I am going to go to the video store soon to rent a bunch of AR DVDs. I have to do that before school starts!

Yes, I highly recommend this movie! There are *some* parts that your parents probably wouldn't like (so I really wouldn't recommend watching it with them), but it's a sweet, heartbreaking, heartwarming, and fun movie.
And the soundtrack is awesome!

Okay, I won't watch this movie with my parents. I might have to go to a friend's house to watch it knowing that my parents will probably end up watching it because they want to make sure the movie isn't too bad. The soundtrack is good? That's fantastic (I haven't used that word in a while! lol ) Good music is always a big plus!

Oh, I love the LA soundtrack! *thumbs up* I especially love the remix of the Beatles' "All You Need is Love" by Lynden David Hall. Bill Nighy's rendition of "Christmas is All Around Me" is absolutely hilarious, yet not bad. (He always ends up making me laugh.) Sometimes I can't believe that Olivia Olson, the girl who sang "All I want for Christmas is You", was only eleven or twelve years old when they made the movie. She's really good!!

I have the soundtrack on my iPod, and I love it so much. I have to get up and dance to "Jump" (that scene always cracks me up), and I love the cover of "All You Need Is Love". Someday, I will play that at my own wedding...

I went to see Love Actually ready to drool over Hugh, but came out having shunned Hugh and focused purely on Bad Harry I love both the movie and the soundtrack. I prefer the original "Jump" they used in the movie then the Girls Aloud version on the soundtrack. I always have to bop around my place wiggling like Hugh Grant Just as well no one is around to see that... I loved the songs they used for the scenes with Sarah and Carl- the Eva Cassidy and Norah Jones ones, they are two of my favourites now.

I prefer the original "Jump" they used in the movie then the Girls Aloud version on the soundtrack. That's odd. I have The Pointer Sisters - Jump on my cd, not Girls Aloud.

Wow, I just saw this last night! I really enjoyed it, and being the silly emotional creature I am, watching all alone in the dark with just my bunny, Binx, for company; I was crying a bit toward the end there. Anything Rickman (but y'all already knew this) is in makes it twice as good!

I loved Love Actually, Alan in Glasses i love too. It was my first non-Harry Potter Alan film and it got me more obsessed on him he just oozes Sex appeal in this one for me even though he's in the wrong, part of me wishes that i was that secretary!
I love him with Rowan Akinson as well that scene was brillient, Emma Thompson as brillient as ever in it too.
Overall loved the film, in fact talking about it makes me want to watch it now!

I think the whole movie was great... But maybe I'm biased... ;D I mean, Alan, Bill Nighby, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth (arghhhh), Hugh Grant (though i don't really like most of his movies...), Thomas Sangster (who is a real gifted young actor), Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Rowan Atkinson and Laura Linney... Jeez, what a cast!!!! Has anyone watched it with the commentary of Richard Curtis, Bill Nighy, Thomas Sangster and Hugh Grant!!! Because it's hilarious!!! Richard's comment : For a tiny moment, I had a glimpse of the Sheriff of Notthingham!!! and when he said to Alan he tried to imitate his voice when he is reading Harry Potter to his children!!! I mean, if you got the dvd, don't hesitate!!!

I watched the entire movie with the commentary too. Hugh is very funny- doesn't he arrive late and later on his mobile phone goes off? I'd vote for him for P.M too!

Yup, HG arrived late... And the mobile was a mobile ringing in the movie actually... LOL HG also asked Richard Curtis if Alan had tied his hair ( ;D ) and said : oh, not him again. He's getting old and that kind of stuff when he saw Colin Firth (these two love to tease each other so much, it's quite funny actually)

Yeah I remember those bits too, the hair dye quips and the Colin insults. They must have a good laugh about it all on set.

I'm happy. In a couple weeks or so (can't remember the exact date--I have it written down somewhere), LA is going to show on TV again (digital cable makes it so easy for me to feed my Alan addiction). I'm going to watch it. I tried watching it before, back when I didn't even know Alan was in it, but I kept only seeing it on when there was only five minutes left, or something.
