What a fabulous movie, and not only is alan in in but Liam Neeson is as well and I just adore him. I have to thank menolly for turning me on (pardon the pun) to this one and for buying it for Christmas...she said I would love it and she was right!

Well I just have to add my two cents worth here because this movie is now my favorite Christmasy movie! I adored Alan in it. There was something so adorable about his character in this even if he was tempted to cheat. The scene with Rowan Atkins was hilarious. But his and Emma's story was the saddest part of the film. And I must say I fell in love with Colin Firth in this. His butchering of Portugese was so cute in the proposal scene.
And I'm glad I 'turned you on' to the movie, candescence. ;-)

There was something so adorable about his character in this even if he was tempted to cheat. It's the glasses. He look so adorable in them. I don't know what was funnier, Rowan wrapping the package or Alan's painful look. Just so heartwarming. He tried to learn Portugese for her and she tried to learn English for him. (sniff) And I fell in love with Colin before you, as Mr. Darcy.

Just to add my two cents, I love the movie as well. Harry does treat his wife dreadfully, but I always imagine that she forgives him and they are happier than ever. Emma and Alan were so wonderful in their roles. Did someone mention Colin Firth? *sigh. Any film with Colin Firth has to be good. I'm still carrying the torch for Mr. Darcy which is why I haven't seen the new P & P, love Colin too much. He was great. I'd love to see him play the minister in HPB. And I loved Hugh Grant in this one two. All in all a great movie and one I can watch many, many times. Oh yeah, the gift wrapping scene was worth the purchase price. Hilarious!

Ok, watching it again right now...one of my fave movies. I know he almost cheats and all...but I love him anyway. And I find myself despising that girl, his secretary...and calling her not so nice names. Perhaps it is jealousy??
And Colin Firth and Hugh Grant are adorable in this, aren't they? That accent does me in every time you know...

That scene is so funny, Alan does a wonderful job at getting upset, but staying cool and not jumping over the counter and strangling that guy. I love when Alan(Harry) says"What else can there be","Are you gonna dip it in yogurt?","Cover it with Chocolate buttons?".....*laughs* Gosh that gets me everytime, I just can't resist laughing.

I love that scene, best scene in the whole movie in my opinion! Oh, and the yogurt line! I love it. The facial expression Alan gives Atkinson is just awesome! LOL

I love that scene with Rowan Atkinson, but my favourite part of that scene is.
"No, no," he backs away, "no bloody holly!"
He say's it in almost the exact tone that Michael Caine in The Italian Job says
"You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"
It's that same tone! Hilarious!

Today (nov 7) was Joni Mitchell's birthday. I can't hear Joni without thinking of Harry.

I watched this movie last night. And I'm probably going to watch it again on Christmas Eve (it's quickly become a tradition of mine to watch it on Christmas Eve).
I just love this movie!
